Advice - Do You Need It?

It is my humble view that a well structured course is needed on how one can give and obtain advice as a result of the idea of recommendation will not be well understood by many people. There are a number of quotes about advice, some funny and a few serious. Recommendation is commonly described as a free commodity not wanted by anyone. One quote I like about advice is: There are two sorts of fools, those that give advice and those who ignore it. Though this assertion seems frivolous on the face of it, I feel there's a profound that means behind it.

We have to ask and reply just a few questions on advice before we may dwell on how one can give and obtain advice. Initially, do we need advice. To reply this question, you just have to consider the occasions when you will have used the advice given by others. I am certain that everyone has used advice given by others no less than on just a few occasions. You might need finished it unconsciously but there is no such thing as a gainsaying the fact that you will have used advice. Recommendation is nothing but borrowed wisdom. A significant part off our knowledge is borrowed within the sense that the majority of what we all know relies on what we've got heard, seen, skilled or read. Thus, there is no such thing as a doubt that we do want advice.

The problem with advice is that it's resented whether it is supplied in its pure form that too when it's not solicited. The quote I discussed earlier terming those giving advice as fools probably refers to unsolicited advice. Unsolicited advice is nearly at all times rejected immediately as a result of the one who receives it perceives it as a form of condescension. 'As if I do not know' is prone to be the spontaneous, unconscious response to unsolicited advice. However rejecting advice is silly as a result of chances are you'll be rejecting one thing valuable.

If you need your advice to be useful to the opposite person, disguise it. Dress it in such a way that the receiver is not going to perceive it as an advice. For example, instead of giving a plain advice, you may narrate your experience. Should you can convey that how silly you had been in appearing or not appearing in a specific way, the receiver will get the message. He or she will make a psychological notice to keep away from the same mistake. There are other subtle ways giving advice to make it efficient and acceptable.
